Kanye West's plagiarism

As much as Push Music loves the Louis Vitton Don we’re a bit peeved at Kanye’s blatant ‘borrowing’ of ideas. There’s the misconception that the production for ‘Stronger’ was produced by Daft Punk. It wasn’t. Kanye made it from the acapella that’s widely available.

There’s the hijacking of Japanese artists
Takashi Murakami's artwork which doesn’t fulfil the art concept of The College Dropout and Late Registration. There’s the sampling of Michael Jackson’s PYT and the oh so familiar Jonas & François direction for the video for the ‘Good Life’.

We know it’s J+F's visual style but pop star Kanye should innovate not imitate.

With ideas from Daft Punk and Justice it Seems Kayne’s going through his ‘French’ phase which is all Très bien but it’s a long shot from the Kanye‘s glory days of ‘Jesus Walks’ and the awesome video for ‘Touch the Sky’.

Lyrically Mr. West still does it for us and we’re deeply looking forward to the 02 on the 22nd but visually, unless the ideas start flowing the Graduation glory may need to take up that all important year out and we don't mean backpacking around Australia.
